Our firm is seeking a high-caliber intern trainee to support our growing portfolio of development research and consultancy. This role is specifically designed for individuals with rigor academic foundation in socio-economics, business, public health, agriculture economics or development studies with advanced and fluent communication skill that possess the analytical rigor required to solve complex developmental challenges interact with client.
We have openings for motivated intern consultants to join our ever-growing collaborative team and contribute to meaningful projects.
Unlike traditional internships, this position just like BAN-DRCE operates on a high-growth trajectory. You will be integrated into technical teams from day one, with the explicit goal of transitioning into a permanent Junior Consultant role upon the successful completion of a 2-3 months performance roadmap.
At BAN-DRCE, we do not hire interns for administrative support; we recruit future partners. This role is a rigorous residency designed for high-potential professionals who aim to master the Ethiopian development consultancy sector. You will be expected to transition from a supporting researcher to a Junior Consultant capable of co-leading technical assignments within six months.
Position : Intern Consultant

Duration of Role: 2 months with the possibility of becoming junior consultant based on performance
Duty Station: Addis Ababa, with possible travel to project sites when necessary

Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing complex Terms of Reference (ToR) and synthesizing literature to draft compelling project backgrounds.
- Participate in the development of an expression of interest
- Assist and facilitate in organizing workshops, trainings, and meetings
- Participate in the production of PowerPoint, templates, and documents
- Facilitate financial and administrative procedures (including logistic arrangements) for trainings, meetings, workshops
- Conduct literature review
- Structuring and drafting inception reports, interim progress reports, and final technical narratives that meet international donor standards.
- Gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses
- Assist or coordinate project implementation
- Testing and refining ODK/KoboToolbox survey scripts
- Produce and update the database of projects, the field research team, and consultants
- Gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations
- Produce content for the digital outreach
- Participate in different project team meetings and document minutes
- Liaison with consultants and client on research undertakings
- Closely follow up on the status of submitted expressions of interest, proposals
- Maintaining project Dashboards to ensure all deliverables are met on time.
- Update the content of the website
- Market research and due diligence
- Follow up with clients to ensure maximum client satisfaction
- Undertake other duties as may be assigned by the core team
Salary: ETB 11,000.00
Required Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in economics and business, development studies, public health, agricultural economics or statistics
- Zero years of work experience
Good Communication and English Writing skill
Good experience in using visualization software such as Power BI, Canva, PowerPoint, STATA, SPSS, and Microsoft Office Tools
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and networking skills.
- Be a team player and communicator
