Walia Steel Industry (WSI) is a privately held company founded in 2006 in Alemgena town, located in the Oromia Regional State, approximately 20 kilometers from Addis Ababa. The company was initiated with a capital of Birr 200,000,000 (Two Hundred Million Birr) and has subsequently increased its capital over the years.
We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented IT graduates to become part of our team as Machine Operators. This position is well-suited for recent graduates or individuals with up to one year of experience who have an interest in working with automated machinery and production systems.
Position: IT Graduate – Machine Operator
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 0–1 year of relevant experience (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Basic understanding of computer systems and machine operations
- Willingness to learn and adapt to industrial environments
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of automation systems or industrial software
- Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware/software issues
- Teamwork and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machines to ensure smooth production processes
- Set up machines and adjust settings as required
- Perform basic troubleshooting and report technical issues
- Ensure product quality meets company standards
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
- Assist in routine maintenance of machines
