VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in four of the Regional States of the country.
VisionFund MFI is currently looking for candidates for the following positions of the successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:
Position: Core Banking System (CBS) Administrator
EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or related field
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Core Banking System administration
- Experience in banking sector is highly preferred
- Technical trainings and proven experience on Microsoft SQL, MySQL , Oracle databases
- Hands-on experience with CBS platforms preferred
TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS
- Experience in Core banking implementation and strong knowledge of CBS architecture and operations
- SQL/database query skills for reporting and troubleshooting
- Experience with API integrations and Business Intelligence (BI) tools (like PowerBI or SSRS)
- Experience in incident management and ticketing systems
- Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
- Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies & highly self-motivated and directed.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes is an advantage
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT
- Willingness to work extended hours during EOD/EOM or critical system issues
- Availability for on-call support
