Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.C., formerly recognized as Kadisco Chemical Industry PLC, is a privately held enterprise situated in Addis Ababa within the Akaki Kality Industrial Zone. The origins of Kadisco can be traced back to a modest automotive parts dealership that operated on one of the bustling streets of Addis Ababa in the late 1960s.
Currently, the company manufactures a comprehensive array of paints catering to the construction, industrial, and automotive sectors. Additionally, it produces lacquers for wood and concrete, along with adhesives designed for the wood and leather industries.
Position: Executive 2- Engineering
Minimum Educational & Experience Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and other related fields.
Required competence level (additional skill & behavior)
- Good communication skill and interpersonal skills.
- Have good behavior and capability to lead the team.
- Should be able to work under pressure with multi-tasking capabilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and implementation of cost-effective preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
- Monitor operational performance (especially SPC & SWC) of plant and machinery and carry out testing to improve existing performance.
- Operate plant machinery, power generation, substation, plant and other auxiliary units & equipment at the factory with optimum load and within budgeted cost.
- Support to concern department for sustainable QMS, EMS and OH&S Management System (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018)
- Assist in the design, development and testing of mechanical and electrical components and systems.
- Testing and installation systems; Ensuring projects meet safety regulations, overseeing and inspection maintenance programs.
- Maintaining and improving electrical products and systems.
- Identify and understand applicable electrical codes standards and regulation.
- Analyzes breakdowns identify, root cause and implement corrective and preventive. maintenance action to reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) and increase mean time between failure (MTBF).
- Respond quickly to all service requests and efficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances and apparatus.
- Order electrical supplies and equipment as needed.
