EthioChicken Vacancy For Fresh Graduates

EthioChicken is the leading private poultry company in Ethiopia, dedicated to improving the nutrition and livelihoods of rural households through a unique distribution model. Founded in 2010 by American entrepreneurs, it has grown into one of the largest poultry operations in East Africa.

Core Business Model
EthioChicken operates through a scalable “Agent-driven” model designed to reach the “last mile” of rural Ethiopia:

  • Breeding & Hatching: The company produces improved, dual-purpose day-old chicks (DOCs) that are more resilient and productive than indigenous breeds.
  • Farmer Agents: DOCs are sold to a network of thousands of entrepreneurial “agents” who raise the chicks for 40–45 days, providing essential vaccinations and care during their most vulnerable stage.
  • Smallholder Farmers: These agents then sell the hardy, 6-week-old chickens to local smallholder farmers, who use them for egg production and meat.
