Aggar MFI is the pioneering commercial private microfinance institution established under proclamation No 40/96, which has now been superseded by proclamation No.626/2009, aimed at serving the “missing middle” by offering credit and savings services in both urban and rural regions of the country.

The founders aimed to fulfill both social and profitability goals. Aggar was founded by 443 shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 4,243,600.00. At present, the number of shareholders has increased to over 750, with the paid-up capital exceeding 200 million, and total assets surpassing 410 million.

Aggar Micro Finance S.C is seeking to hire qualified professionals for the following vacant positions:

Position 1: Senior Auditor

Qualification: BA Degree in Accounting/ Management or related field

Experience: 4 years of relevant experience

Expected Competency

  • Comprehensive knowledge of auditing and accounting principles and practices
  • Thorough knowledge of  financial laws and audit regulations
  • Ability to   analyze financial statements
  • Good   knowledge of microfinance business
  • Good communication and  human relation skill

Term of Emp: Permanent

Position 2: Risk & Compliance Officer

Qualification: BA Degree/Level IV  in Accounting/Management or related field

Experience: 2/6 Years of relevant experience;

Expected Competency

  • Good knowledge of Auditing, risk management and Accounting principles and practices;
  • Skills in designing and performing internal control tests to evaluate effectiveness;
  • Through knowledge of Financial Laws NBI Directives and regulations
  • Ability to Financial and Operational report preparation;
  • Good communication skills

Position 3: Branch Manager I

  • Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Marketing/Management/Economics/Accounting  or related field
  • Experience: 2/4 Years of relevant experience of which  2 years Senior Credit or Loan Officer

Expected Competency

  • Excellent knowledge of company operation policies and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of KYC principle
  • Basic understanding of branch operations and microfinance products.
  • Proficiency in basic financial management and reporting tools.
  • Good knowledge of financial and marketing management principles and practices
  • Good communication skills
