The Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) serves as a platform for strategic dialogue between Africa and the European Union. The primary goal of the AEEP is to enhance access to secure, affordable, and sustainable energy for both regions, particularly emphasizing the need to boost investment in energy infrastructure within Africa. GIZ is responsible for hosting the AEEP Secretariat, which is one of the components of the broader Global Energy Transformation Programme (GET.pro) initiative.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Environmental Studies, Climate change, Migration studies, Development studies, communications, Social or Political Sciences, economics, Law, Public Policy, Engineering or Environmental Science, or any related discipline with a focus on sustainable energy and/or power systems
Professional Experience
- This position is particularly for fresh graduates; profound practical experience is not a prerequisite. However, a sound theoretical knowledge in the context of climate change, migration, disaster risk reduction is expected.
Other Knowledge, additional competencies
- Excellent communication skills orally and written in English language
- Good analytical, organizational skills, and research skills are a strong asset.
- Good command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with digital tools and communication platforms
- Strong interest in climate change, human mobility, and African integration processes
- Ability to work as part of a team, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
