It serves as a significant partner for Yango Ethiopia (ride-hailing, providing customer support and operations), specializes in the export of premium Ethiopian coffee (Elegance Coffee), and provides services in event planning, wedding décor, and the supply of imported event furniture.
Position: Accountant
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1+ years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in a private company)
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations and reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree,)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
🏆 Preferred Skills
- Experience in audit preparation
- Experience in transport, or service sector
- Female Applicant is an advantage.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Supervise junior accountants and finance staff
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations
- Prepare and file VAT, Withholding Tax, and Payroll tax reports
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable
- Conduct bank and cash reconciliations
- Support internal and external audits
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Maintain proper documentation and accounting records
- Implement and monitor internal control procedures
- Prepare management financial reports and analysis
