Bilal Microfinance Job Vacancy 2026

Bilal Microfinance Institution (BMFI) was officially established on February 23, 2024, by 851 shareholders, with an initial paid-up capital of 22.5 million Birr. The institution commenced its operations in July 2024, launching its first branch and offering full-fledged interest-free microfinance services.

In less than a year, BMFI has expanded its footprint to three branches and built a team of 24 committed staff. Despite operating under a challenging environment characterized by capital constraints, inflation, and a volatile market, the institution has registered promising operational achievements. As of May 2025, BMFI has:

  • Mobilized 6 million Birr in deposits from 2,627 depositors
  • Disbursed 16 million Birr in financing to 116 loan clients

These early successes reflect strong demand for Islamic microfinance services and community trust in BMFI’s mission.

Bilal Microfinance Institution S.C. is a full-fledge interest free microfinance institution established based on the NBE Directive No. MFI/32/2021 to provide sharia compliant and inclusive microfinance services that provide access to the community excluded from financial services due to interest.
