Aggar MFI is the pioneering commercial private microfinance institution established under proclamation No 40/96, which has now been superseded by proclamation No.626/2009. Its mission is to cater to the “missing middle” by offering credit and savings services in both urban and rural regions of the country.

The founders aimed to fulfill both social and profitability goals. Aggar was initiated by 443 shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 4,243,600.00. At present, the number of shareholders has increased to over 750, with the paid-up capital exceeding 200 million, and total assets surpassing 410 million.

Aggar Micro Finance S.C is seeking to hire qualified professionals for the following vacant positions:

Position 1: Accountant

  • Qualification: BA Degree in Accounting or Related Field
  • Work Experience:  2 years of relevant experiences
  • Qty: 10

Expected Competency (Skills required):

  • Good knowledge of accounting concepts and principles
  • Considerable knowledge of analytical methods and techniques
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and reports
  • Core Banking skill is mandatory
  • Considerable knowledge of microfinance business is a plus

Position 2: Senior IT Auditor

  • Qualification: BA Degree in Accounting/Business Administration & Information System or related field
  • Work Experience: 4 years of relevant experience 2 of which at IT area

Expected Competency (Skills required):

  • Comprehensive knowledge of auditing and accounting principles and practices
  • Thorough knowledge of financial laws and audit regulations
  • Ability to analyze financial statements
  • Good knowledge of microfinance business
  • Basic computer application skill

Expected Competency (Skills required):

  • Proven experience in graphic design & digital marketing
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe family (in InDesign, illustrate & Photoshop Premiere)
  • Experience with social media management tools land digital advertising platforms
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines

  • Broad knowledge of overall business in Financial Institutions
  • Deep knowledge of marketing, PR-Functions and Branding is very important
  • Experience in designing and executing marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Positioning the brand effectively in the market to differentiate from competitors.
  • Skill in managing public relations strategies and media relations to enhance brand reputation.
