1. Marketing & Communications Intern
Location: Dire Dawa, Ethiopia
Position Type: Internship — Fresh Graduates
About the Role
This internship supports the communications activities of SNV’s development programmes. The intern will assist with content development, social media, field documentation, and community-focused communication.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, PR, Development Studies, or related field
Recent graduate (within the last 2 years)
Basic awareness of development communication or WASH-related projects
Skills & Competencies
Strong writing, editing, and translation ability (English + local language preferred)
Familiarity with social media management and digital content tools (Canva, Adobe Express)
Good photography/videography interest is an advantage
Organized, proactive, detail-oriented
Willing to travel to project woredas
2. Administrative Assistant Intern
Location: Ethiopia
Position Type: Internship — Fresh Graduates
About the Role
The intern provides administrative, logistics, filing, and documentation support to ensure smooth office operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Public Administration, or related field
0–2 years of experience
Internship or volunteer experience is beneficial

3. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Advisor
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Contract Type: Full Time
Expected Start: 1 January 2026
Duration: 1 year, renewable
Role Summary
The MEL Advisor leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of MEL systems for SNV’s WASH and trachoma elimination programmes. The role ensures evidence-based decision-making and supports learning across the project.
Key Responsibilities
Develop project MEL frameworks, tools, KPIs, and data-collection systems
Lead baseline, midline, and endline studies
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data for reporting and learning
Build capacity of staff, partners, and government stakeholders on MEL systems
Produce dashboards, progress reports, and learning documentation
Ensure high-quality data management and compliance
Conduct field monitoring and data quality assessments
Support adaptive programming and business development efforts
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Monitoring & Evaluation, or related field
Minimum 4 years of MEL experience within development programmes
Strong data analysis, visualization, and reporting skills
Good facilitation, communication, and capacity-building abilities
Willingness to travel to project woredas
4. Community Promoter – Cluster (Jimma)
Location: Jimma, Oromia Region
Contract Type: Full Time
Duration: 1 year, renewable
Start Date: 1 January 2026
Role Summary
The Community Promoter coordinates and supervises WASH and hygiene behavior change activities in 3–4 woredas. This role is central to SNV’s trachoma elimination efforts through community engagement and system strengthening.
Key Responsibilities
Lead implementation of cluster-level WASH and hygiene activities
Support integration of sanitation, facial cleanliness, and environmental improvements
Work with HEWs, schools, WASH committees, and community structures
Facilitate hygiene campaigns, school activities, and community dialogues
Monitor project progress and support field reporting
Train local actors, influencers, and community leaders
Strengthen collaboration with woreda sector offices
Identify local behavior-change barriers and opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, or Behavior Change Communication
Minimum 3 years experience in community-level WASH programming
Strong communication and report-writing skills
Ability to work with local institutions and community structures
Fluency in local language(s)
5. Community Promoter – Cluster (Other Locations in Oromia)
Location: Oromia Region (multiple clusters)
Contract Type: Full Time
Duration: 1 year, renewable
Role Summary
Similar to the Jimma position, this role supports cluster-level implementation of WASH, sanitation, and behavior change interventions across several woredas.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, or related field
3+ years of relevant community engagement experience
Strong WASH behavior-change knowledge
Good facilitation, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills
