The institution is currently seeking qualified professionals for the position of Senior Property Valuation Engineer.

Job Summary

The Senior Property Valuation Engineer will work under the supervision of the Credit Service and Portfolio Management Director. The role involves planning and executing activities related to collateral and property valuation in accordance with VisionFund’s policies and procedures. The successful candidate will ensure accurate valuation, handle construction-related documentation, and support ongoing projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct property and collateral valuations following internal guidelines.
• Prepare Terms of Reference (TOR) for consulting firms involved in building design and construction.
• Review architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical designs as well as bid documents.
• Participate in consultant and contractor selection processes.
• Review supervision and contract administration documents prepared by external consultants.
• Verify construction-related payment requests and recommend approval.
• Monitor construction progress and address issues in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Oversee renovation and modification works at branch offices.
• Review and follow up on the design and installation of counters, cash cages, and sign boxes.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to supervised staff.
• Manage performance evaluation and disciplinary matters of team members.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the Banking or Microfinance sector.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong knowledge of engineering standards and valuation techniques.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Up-to-date knowledge of construction and property valuation practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
