MSI Ethiopia Reproductive Choices is recruiting qualified Midwife Nurses, Neonatal Nurses, and Scrub / Operating Theatre Nurses in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (2026) for its MCH Specialty Centers.

📌 Available Positions & Requirements

🔹 Position 1: Midwife Nurse

Job Overview

The Midwife Nurse will provide labour, delivery, and maternity ward services under the supervision of the Technical Head and MCH Specialty Centre Manager, ensuring safe delivery care and adherence to professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor labour and conduct normal deliveries
• Assist with vacuum-assisted vaginal deliveries
• Provide immediate newborn and postnatal care
• Support breastfeeding initiation and postnatal counselling
• Assist physicians during obstetric and surgical procedures
• Maintain infection prevention and patient confidentiality
• Prepare reports and report clinical incidents as required

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: BSc or Diploma in Midwifery
• Experience:
  • BSc: Minimum 2 years
  • Diploma: Minimum 4 years

🔹 Position 2: Neonatal Nurse

Job Overview

The Neonatal Nurse provides specialized nursing care for premature, ill, or high-risk newborns at the MCH Specialty Center, working closely with the IPD Head and MCH Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized neonatal and intensive care services
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and emergency interventions
• Monitor neonate health status and administer treatments
• Operate neonatal ICU equipment
• Support and counsel families during neonatal care
• Maintain accurate clinical and medication records

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:
  • BSc in Neonatal Nursing or
  • Diploma / Level IV in Neonatal Nursing
• Experience:
  • BSc: Minimum 2 years
  • Diploma: Minimum 4 years

🔹 Position 3: Scrub / Operating Theatre Nurse

Job Overview

The Scrub / OT Nurse provides perioperative nursing care and supports surgical teams before, during, and after procedures while maintaining sterile operating environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and sterile surgical instruments
• Assist surgeons during operations and maintain sterile fields
• Conduct accurate surgical counts and documentation
• Support pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Ensure infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Manage theatre supplies, inventory, and reporting

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:
  • BSc in Nursing or
  • BSc in Operating Theatre / Surgical Specialty Nursing
• Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant perioperative experience
