🎓 Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
    • Human Resource Management
    • Business Administration
    • Public Administration
    • Management
    • Other related business fields
  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Word
    • Outlook

🧾 General Position Summary

The Human Resource Assistant supports the Mercy Corps Ethiopia HR team by managing day-to-day HR operations. The role ensures HR activities are carried out efficiently, confidentially, and in compliance with organizational policies and labor regulations. This position plays a key role in supporting staff recruitment, onboarding, records management, and reporting.


🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general HR support to Mercy Corps Ethiopia HR Department
  • Collect, track, and organize employee documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, CVs, timesheets, leave records, and performance evaluations
  • Support onboarding and new hire documentation processes
  • Prepare interview schedules, agendas, and candidate interview materials
  • Screen CVs and short-list candidates for selected positions
  • Assist with updating and organizing employee files
  • Prepare weekly activity and HR reports
