About the Role

Habesha Breweries SC is seeking a skilled Mendix Programmer / Software Engineer to develop and maintain high-quality software applications that drive business efficiency. This role is central to delivering IT solutions that support internal operations and enhance overall productivity. The ideal candidate will have experience in both high-code and low-code environments, strong programming skills, and the ability to create scalable, secure, and user-friendly applications.

The Software Engineer will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective software solutions. This role emphasizes system reliability, continuous improvement, and the delivery of innovative IT services aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications supporting business operations.
• Translate business requirements into functional software solutions.
• Develop applications using Mendix low-code platform and traditional programming frameworks.
• Coordinate and support software testing, debugging, and system integration activities.
• Provide technical support and user guidance for internal systems.
• Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Continuously optimize software development processes and adopt new technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in software development.
• Solid proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with software architecture, API integration, version control, and test automation.
• Familiarity with low-code development platforms (preferably Mendix).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
