Operating in Ethiopia since 1986, MdM focuses on primary healthcare, maternal and newborn health, sexual and reproductive health, mental health support, and nutrition.
MdM Ethiopia is hiring for multiple positions in Dehas & Wachile Woredas (Oromia Region) and Hudet Woreda (Somali Region). These are contract positions with immediate availability, offering the opportunity to work in dynamic humanitarian health programs.

1. Medical Supervisor
Positions: 1
Career Level: Senior / Mid-Level
Reports to: Health Program Manager
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all health program activities in designated woredas.
- Ensure quality healthcare service delivery according to MoH & WHO protocols.
- Support health staff capacity building and mentoring.
- Monitor medical supply management, referral processes, and infection prevention.
- Compile and submit monthly activity reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience, preferably in emergency settings.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
2. Health Officer
Positions: 2
Career Level: Mid-Level (3–5 years experience)
Reports to: Medical Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Provide curative and preventive healthcare in health centers and mobile clinics.
- Ensure adherence to MoH and WHO protocols.
- Facilitate training and mentoring of health staff.
- Manage patient records, rational use of medicines, and referral coordination.
- Support emergency preparedness and outbreak surveillance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience, preferably in emergency settings
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian health system, Microsoft Office skills, and coordination abilities
3. Nurse
Positions: 2
Career Level: Mid-Level (3–5 years experience)
Reports to: Medical Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality curative and preventive nursing care.
- Conduct triage, vital signs measurement, growth monitoring, and health education.
- Manage patient documentation and maintain confidentiality.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and support maternal & child health programs.
- Mentor and coach health staff on IPC, drug administration, and standard protocols.
Requirements:
- BSc in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience, preferably in emergency settings
- Knowledge of IPC, BEmONC, and nutrition
4. Midwife
Positions: 2
Career Level: Mid-Level (3–5 years experience)
Reports to: Medical Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Manage obstetric emergencies and maternal care at health centers.
- Provide mentoring and coaching on BEmONC signal functions.
- Conduct needs assessment for MCH and family planning services.
- Maintain confidential and respectful care for all patients, including SGBV survivors.
- Report maternal and neonatal deaths and track referrals to CEmONC hospitals.
Requirements:
- BSc in Midwifery
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience, preferably in emergency settings
- Knowledge of IPC, BEmONC, and IMNCI
5. Referral Assistance
Positions: 2
Career Level: Junior Level (1–3 years experience)
Reports to: Health Officer
Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between health centers and referral hospitals.
- Coordinate patient transfers and track referral outcomes.
- Document medical records and ensure follow-up care.
- Conduct orientation and sensitization sessions for referral facility staff.
- Support logistical and financial arrangements for referred patients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Health Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in health program coordination or referral management
- Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills
