Purpose of the Job

The Human Resources Officer will support the HR function by coordinating recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, and staff development for national and international employees. The role involves close collaboration with academic teams, department heads, and management to ensure efficient and compliant HR operations across the school.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day human resource management activities.
  • Assist in reviewing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Develop short- and long-term human resource development plans for staff.
  • Review job descriptions and ensure they are properly communicated to all employees.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, particularly for academic staff.
  • Organize and facilitate orientation programs for new employees.
  • Monitor and support the implementation of performance appraisal systems.
  • Coordinate staff training and professional development programs.
  • Administer employee benefits including accommodation and travel arrangements.
  • Support work permits, residence permits, and visa processing for expatriate staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records and HR databases.
  • Prepare HR-related correspondence such as salary letters, testimonials, and recommendations.
  • Manage employee leave schedules and clearance procedures.
  • Provide employee services, counseling, and ensure staff ID issuance.
  • Coordinate support services including clinic, cleaning, gardening, and uniforms.
  • Prepare annual and periodic HR work plans and reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: BA/MA in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of relevant HR, administration, recruitment, or staff development experience in an international organization after graduation.
