Job Summary
The HR Officer is responsible for advising management on human resource policies and procedures, supporting employee relations, and ensuring a positive staff experience. The role involves close coordination with department managers to support recruitment, training, succession planning, and compliance with labor and hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and support managers on HR policies and procedures
- Manage succession planning in collaboration with senior managers during appraisal cycles
- Handle employee relations matters confidentially, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and capability issues
- Monitor staff absence in line with company guidelines
- Maintain personnel records, payroll systems, and monthly HR reports
- Ensure recruitment and selection processes comply with company standards and immigration requirements
- Assist in identifying departmental training needs
- Ensure completion of mandatory training on security, fire safety, and health regulations
- Support organization of team member social and engagement events
- Liaise with local institutions to promote careers in the hospitality industry
- Promote staff benefits and respond to employee and management queries
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Management, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an HR Officer or in a similar role
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and people-management skills
- Solid understanding of employment law and employee relations
- IT proficiency and experience with HR systems
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team
