COOPI Ethiopia began operations in 1995 and manages programs in WASH, ESNFI, CCCM, Energy, Food Security, Livelihoods, Nutrition, and Protection. Currently, the organization implements more than 10 active projects across 8 field bases, supported by over 100 staff members.
COOPI is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Procurement Supervisor / Project Logistician to support its operations in Addis Ababa.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Procurement Management
- Review procurement procedures and contract documentation submitted by project offices.
- Facilitate timely payments for goods, services, and works procured.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, services, and supplies required for COOPI projects.
- Conduct market assessments and collect quotations to identify reliable suppliers at competitive prices.
- Prepare procurement documentation including Purchase Orders (POs), RFQs, tender dossiers, and bid documents, ensuring adherence to COOPI and donor regulations.
- Support tender processes: coordinate procurement committee meetings, supplier evaluations, contract awards, and follow-up.
- Maintain an updated supplier/vendor database, including performance records and contract history.
- Ensure timely delivery of procured items by coordinating with logistics, finance, program, and administrative teams.
- Provide procurement support to project field offices when needed or in the absence of Field Logisticians.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with COOPI internal policies and donor procurement rules.
- Archive procurement documents systematically to ensure full transparency, accountability, and audit readiness.
Coordination and Compliance
- Collaborate closely with Program, Finance, Admin, and Field teams to align procurement requirements with project budgets and timelines.
- Uphold integrity, anti-fraud standards, and compliance with organizational and donor guidelines.
About You – Qualifications & Required Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in procurement or logistics, preferably within NGO or donor-funded environments.
- Strong understanding of procurement cycles, supply chain principles, and donor procurement policies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to maintain procurement records and reporting systems.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, transparency, and compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
Contract Details
- Duration: Six months, renewable based on performance and funding availability.
- Salary: Gross 58,726 ETB
- Start Date: As soon as possible
