Available Job Positions
1. Assistant Social Worker
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Career Level: Junior (1–3 years)
- Key Responsibilities / Job Duties:
- Mobilize beneficiaries to form Self Help Groups (SHGs)
- Establish, supervise, and mentor SHGs and SILC groups
- Conduct need assessments and draft empowerment plans with clients
- Deliver business skills, life skills, and capacity-building trainings
- Organize opportunities for clients to sell goods and improve livelihoods
- Monitor and evaluate SHG activities and maintain proper records
- Assist in drafting reports for administration, government, and funders
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Social Work or related fields
- Training in SHG, entrepreneurship, IGAs, or business skills
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar settings (experience in revolving fund/loan management is a plus)
- Strong communication, mentoring, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Writing skills in English and Amharic

2. Counselor
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Career Level: Mid-level (3–5 years)
- Key Responsibilities / Job Duties:
- Provide individual, group, family, and couple counseling (including HIV-related counseling)
- Conduct home visits to supervise caregivers and assess client needs
- Facilitate referrals to health centers and hospitals
- Organize community awareness activities to reduce stigma and discrimination
- Train community caregivers and support psychosocial interventions
- Prepare action plans, monitor activities, and compile reports for stakeholders
- Collaborate with empowerment units to develop and evaluate client plans
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing or related fields
- Additional certifications in PMTCT, ART, STI, VCT/HCT, or Life Skills are an advantage
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in community-based settings or with vulnerable populations
- Strong knowledge of public health issues, HIV/AIDS, and reproductive health
- Experience in IEC/BCC strategies and training facilitation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
