Agribusiness Advisor – Livestock (Bahir Dar, Ethiopia) | SNV Ethiopia Job Vacancy 2025

SNV is a global development organization working to create a world where everyone lives with dignity and has equal opportunities to thrive. With more than 60 years of experience in Africa and Asia, SNV strengthens agri-food, energy, and water systems to reduce poverty, enhance gender equality, and promote climate-resilient development. Today, our team of 1,600+ professionals operates in 20+ countries, driving sustainable impact through strong partnerships and local capacity building.

Project Overview

SNV Ethiopia will soon launch a major flagship programme enabling 800,000 rural young women (RYW) to access decent and fulfilling employment opportunities. The project will focus on high-potential agricultural value chains—such as poultry, dairy, and horticulture—using a market systems development approach across seven regional clusters.

The programme prioritizes gender and social inclusion (GESI) by addressing socio-economic barriers that prevent rural young women from fully participating in profitable agricultural and livestock markets. Implementation will be decentralized and coordinated with TVET institutions, youth centers, community organizations, government offices, and private sector partners.

The Advisor will ensure that programme activities lead to measurable outcomes in youth income generation and employment creation.
