The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), an independent constitutional institution mandated to manage Ethiopia’s electoral processes, is announcing new job opportunities for qualified and experienced professionals. NEBE operates at federal and regional levels and continues to strengthen its structure following recent reforms implemented under Proclamation No. 1133/2019.

1. Position: Junior Finance Expert II

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Accounting & Finance
    • Economics
    • Business Administration or related fields
  • Experience required:
    • 2 years for Master’s degree holders
    • 4 years for Bachelor’s degree holders

Required Knowledge

  • Financial rules and regulations
  • Ethiopian tax laws
  • Organizational financial procedures
  • Payroll processing
  • Budget preparation and management
  • IFMIS proficiency

Required Skills

  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational ability
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • 7 years with a Master’s degree
  • At least 4 years in a leadership role

Required Knowledge

  • Financial rules, regulations, and tax laws
  • Financial reporting standards and procedures
  • Internal financial management practices

Technical Skills

  • Financial modelling and data analysis
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong ethical conduct and integrity

4. Position: Head, Branch Offices

Academic Qualifications

  • PhD with 8 years of experience
  • Master’s degree with 10 years of experience

Leadership Experience

  • Minimum 4 years in a leadership or managerial position

Knowledge Requirements
