Infonans Solution PLC is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized Junior Project Manager to join our team. Infonans operates across Projects. The Junior Project Manager will play a vital role in supporting project lifecycles from initiation to final completion—tracking milestones, facilitating cross-functional team coordination, assisting in milestone-based payment follow-ups, and securing client testimonials/sign-offs.

 

Position 1: Junior Project Manager

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (JOB DESCRIPTION)

  • Assist Project Managers in tracking and managing project timelines across both IT/software development and renovation/civil project sites.
  • Monitor project progress from kickoff through completion, ensuring each defined milestone is delivered on schedule and within quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (developers, technical leads, interior designers, contractors, and site supervisors) and external stakeholders/clients.
  • Assist in tracking milestone-based payment collections by ensuring completion reports and invoices are processed and followed up promptly.
  • Organize client walkthroughs, project handover sessions, and assist in collecting formal completion sign-offs and client testimonials/feedback.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports, meeting minutes, and task progress using project management tools.
  • Identify potential project delays, site/technical bottlenecks, or scope changes and escalate them proactively to senior management with actionable solutions.

JOB SPECIFICATION (QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS)

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in project management assistance, project coordination, tech/software projects, or renovation/construction supervision.
  • Core Competencies & Knowledge:
    • Understanding of project lifecycle management.
    • Familiarity with project tracking and collaboration platforms (e.g., Basecamp, Jira, Trello, MS Excel/Project).
    • Strong negotiation, client relationship, and follow-up skills (especially regarding milestone sign-offs and payment tracking).
    • Exposure to either software development cycles or civil/interior renovation workflows is a strong advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Amharic and English.
  • Key Attributes: High attention to detail, exceptional organizational ability, proactive problem-solving attitude, and strong adaptability across tech and physical project environments.

Position 2: Farm & Agricultural Operations Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily Farm Operations & Field Management:
    • Plan, direct, and coordinate day-to-day farm operations, including planting, irrigation, soil health management, crop protection, and harvesting.
    • Oversee coffee plantation maintenance, processing (wet/dry mills), quality control, and export-grade preparation.
    • Ensure optimal utilization of farm machinery, tools, and irrigation infrastructure.
  • Workforce Management & Supervision:
    • Supervise, assign, and track daily tasks for permanent farm staff and seasonal field workers.
    • Enforce farm safety protocols, labor standards, and efficient workflow discipline across all field sites.
    • Coordinate with HR for local recruitment, attendance, and payroll input of field workers.
  • Supply Chain & Inventory Control:
    • Oversee store inventory, farm inputs (seeds, fertilizers, tools, fuel), and equipment maintenance.
    • Coordinate with head office logistics for timely dispatch and transport of harvested produce and coffee beans.
  • Budgeting, Planning & Reporting:
    • Develop seasonal operational plans, harvest targets, and farm budget estimates.
    • Maintain precise records of yield, input usage, operational costs, and labor hours.
    • Submit weekly and monthly operational and yield progress reports to Top Management.

REPORTS TO: DCEO

LOCATION: Project Site / Farm (with periodic reporting to Addis Ababa Head Office)

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (REQUIREMENTS)

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Plant Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in farm management, with demonstrated expertise in commercial farming and coffee plantation/processing management.
  • Technical & Operational Skills:
    • Practical knowledge of modern agronomy techniques, pest control, soil management, and post-harvest coffee processing.
    • Proven leadership and people management skills in handling rural/farm workforces and local community relations.
    • Strong problem-solving, resource planning, and basic budget management skills.
    • Willingness to reside full-time at or near the farm site.
