HST Consulting PLC (HST), in partnership with FSD Ethiopia (FSDE) through its skill academy, is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for the Accounting Technician Training Program (ATTP). This initiative is part of a national capacity building effort aimed at cultivating a proficient accounting workforce to bolster Ethiopia’s financial sector reforms and the developing capital market.
The program is structured as a competency-based and technology-enabled training platform that effectively connects academic education with practical accounting experience. Those who successfully complete the program may utilize the training as a stepping stone towards obtaining the Accounting Technician Qualification Ethiopia (ATQE) certification, which is overseen by the Ethiopian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ETiCPA).
Position: Accounting Technician Training Program (HST-ATTP)
A total of up to 397 trainees will be admit-ted.
Eligibility and Target Group
The program is intended for individuals who:
- Have completed Grade 12 or higher education
- Are under 40 years of age
- Aspire to build a career in accounting, finance, or related fields
- Are interested in contributing to Ethi-opia’s financial sector and capital mar-ket ecosystem

Selection Process
The selection process will be car-ried out by HST with oversight
from FSDE and includes:
- Online application submis-sion
- Initial eligibility screening
- Competency review and/or entrance assessment
- Final shortlisting and selec-tion
Selection will be based on:
- Merit and motivation
- Educational background (minimum Grade 12)
- Relevant work experience (if any)
- Commitment to complete all 12 courses within one year
- Inclusion targets (gender, youth, and geographic balance)
The program aims to achieve 50% women’s participation, subject to appli-cant qualifications.
