Habesha Steel Mills PLC is looking for a dynamic and results-driven employees to drive business growth for our Steel Rebar products.

Position 1: Sales Officer

Education: B.A. Degree in Marketing Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience in sales or marketing, preferably within the construction or steel industry.

Communication: Fluent in English (all basic skills) with effective written and verbal communication abilities.

Technical Skills: Proficient in basic computer operations and internet marketing.

Location: Addis Ababa (Head Office)

Position 2: Store Keeper (Technical)

Education: Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a Technical field (General Mechanics background is a plus).

Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Store Keeper in a heavy manufacturing environment, specifically within a steel mill or foundry.

Technical Knowledge: Must be familiar with steel-making consumables: Refractory bricks, Lancing pipes, CCM mold powder, and Ferro-silicon/Ferro-manganese.

Understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for chemical handling.

Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software (ERP) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean, “5S” compliant warehouse.

Location: Bishoftu-Dukem (In front of Eastern Industry Zone)

Position 3: Purchaser

Education: B.A. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing & Supplies Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably within a manufacturing or construction environment.

Skills: * Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Proficiency in Amharic and English (both written and spoken).

Familiarity with ERP software or advanced Excel for inventory/purchase tracking.

Knowledge of local market dynamics in Addis Ababa, Bishoftu, and Dukem.

Personal Attributes: High level of integrity and honesty, ability to work under pressure, and strong organizational skills.

Location: Head Office, Addis Ababa

Position 4: Lab Technician (Mechanical)

Education: B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field from a recognized university.

Experience: 0–2 years of experience. (Fresh graduates with a strong academic background and an internship in manufacturing are encouraged to apply).

Technical Skills:

Understanding of the mechanical properties of metals (stress, strain, yield strength).

Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data logging and reporting.

Personal Attributes: High level of integrity (quality results must be honest), analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

Location: Bishoftu-Dukem (In front of Eastern Industry Zone)

Position 5: Electrician

Education: TVET Level III, IV, or Diploma in Electricity, Industrial Power, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Technical Skills: * Strong knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and VFD (Variable Frequency Drives).

Ability to read complex industrial wiring schematics.

Personal Attributes: Willingness to work in a shift-based environment and ability to work effectively within a team of 5+ technicians.

Location: Bishoftu-Dukem (In front of Eastern Industry Zone)

Position 6: Mechanical Fitter

Education: TVET Level III or IV in General Mechanics, Machine-tool Technology, or Mechanical Fitting.

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Fitter in a heavy manufacturing plant (experience in steel mills or cement factories is highly valued).

Technical Skills:

Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings.

Expertise in using precision measuring instruments (Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Dial Indicators).

Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance.

Personal Attributes: Strong manual dexterity, physical strength, and a disciplined approach to preventive maintenance.

Location: Bishoftu-Dukem (In front of Eastern Industry Zone)

Position 7: Welder

Education: TVET Level II or III in Welding and Fabrication or a related technical field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience, preferably in a heavy industrial or construction setting.

Skills: * Mastery of different welding positions (Flat, Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead).

Proficient in using grinders, torches, and metal cutting tools.

Knowledge of metallurgy and the properties of different steel grades.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work in hot environments, wear heavy protective gear, and stand for long periods.
