We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a DMS & QMS Documentation Officer. This role is central to our commitment to quality, requiring the successful candidate to draft technical documents that form the backbone of our Document Management System (DMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) projects. You will translate complex process knowledge into ISO-compliant documentation and support the integration of these systems based on ISO 9001 standards.
Position 1: Junior Electrical Engineer

- Habesha Steel Mills PLC is seeking dynamic and technically proficient individuals to join our Electrical Engineering department at our Dukem plant. We are looking to fill two levels of positions totaling: Electrical Engineer (Experienced) and Junior Electrical Engineer.
- The engineering team is responsible for ensuring the reliability of our heavy-duty steel production machinery, managing power distribution, and driving technical improvements to maximize plant efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior engineers in daily maintenance tasks and fault-finding missions on the production floor.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and technical documentation for electrical assets.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical panels, motors, and wiring systems.
- Participate in the “Sort” and “Set in Order” phases of workplace organization (Kaizen) within the electrical workshop.
Job Requirements
1. Education
- BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience
- 0–2 years of experience. Fresh graduates with strong academic performance are encouraged to apply.
3. Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of electrical circuits, power systems, and basic electrical safety.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word).
4. Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a high-temperature, heavy industrial environment.
- Readiness to work in shifts and handle emergency technical breakdowns.

- Manage and program PLC systems (Siemens, Schneider, etc.) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to optimize automated production.
- Develop and oversee preventative maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Supervise technical teams and provide mentorship to junior staff and electricians.
- Manage electrical upgrade projects and the installation of new manufacturing equipment.
Job Requirements
1. Education
- BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience
- Electrical Engineer: Minimum of 3–6 years of experience, ideally in a steel mill or heavy manufacturing environment.
3. Technical Skills
- Proven expertise in industrial automation, PLC troubleshooting, and high-voltage power systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word).
