Development for Peace Organization (DPO) is an Ethiopian non-profit organization established in 2020 with a mission of striving to meet the humanitarian and developmental needs of societies regardless of race, color, religion or cultural background. We are legally registered to work in Ethiopia (Reg. 5164) as National NGO and as INGO in South Sudan (Reg. 4178), Somalia (Reg. Position 1: Nurse
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient triage, promptly addressing needs, or relaying detailed messages to the appropriate physician.
- Assessing a patient’s condition, setting IVs, updating patient records, providing emotional support, and/or educating patients on how to manage their illness or injury
- Participating in outpatient and inpatient clinics regularly,
- Assists in planning nursing care (bed making, patient positioning, feeding, bed bath, mouth care, etc.);
- Participate in daily rounds, recording and reporting and progress on nursing note;
- Develops nursing care plans that meet the individualized patient needs;
- Prepares and administers medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians;
- Accurately observes, reports and records any complication;
- Be aware of the five right (right medication, right patient, right route, right dose, right time);

Qualifications:
- Diploma in clinical nurse from an accredited Institution, has an active COC (Certificate of Competence) and License to practice in Ethiopia and four (4) years of practical experience.
- Degree (BSC) in nursing from an accredited Institution and has active License to practice in Ethiopia and two (2) years of practical experience.

Position 2: Midwife Nurse
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct prenatal assessments, monitor fetal development, and provide education and counseling to pregnant women.
- Assist with deliveries, including normal vaginal deliveries and managing complications within your scope of practice.

Position 3: Druggist
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, store, and securely manage essential and non-essential medications according to national, international and humanitarian guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication inventory records using a computerized system and manual methods.
- Prepare medications for dispensing based on prescriptions written by qualified healthcare providers.
- Dispense medications to patients, ensuring proper dosage and medication education.
- Monitor medication expiry dates and conduct regular stock checks to prevent stockouts or overstocking.

Position 4: Laboratory Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive range of clinical laboratory examinations, including hematology, parasitology, urinalysis, and clinical microscopy. This encompasses specimen collection, processing, analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Adheres to quality assurance and quality control procedures in performing all testing.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of laboratory results through meticulous quality assurance and control processes.
- Maintain peak performance of laboratory equipment by performing inspections, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and proficiency testing.
- Specimens are checked as to their condition, acceptability and appropriateness to the test and exceptions are noted.
- Manage all aspects of reagents, including initiating the need for procurement, inventory control, proper storage, and accuracy verification.

Position 5: Logistics and Admin Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrange transportation of equipment & materials to the designated location, including loading and uploading and ensure issuance of proper documentation, i.e. delivery notes, packing list, insurance, etc. Liaise with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of goods, and efficient problem solving of unexpected issues.
- Ensure monitoring of logbooks and vehicles fuel consumption on a weekly basis; compiles and submits monthly fleet report of maintenance cost summary, fuel usage, and personal mileage and KM analysis and submits with recommendations to Medical Director.
- Maintain a daily Vehicle availability, ready for in town travel and various field destinations. Avail different Vehicles as per the request on daily basis and decide appropriate vehicle type for requested transport service.
- Ensure that vehicles are checked daily and weekly, and that they are maintained in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean, inside, and outside, at all times and that the organization stickers are visible.
- Handle annual vehicle inspection and Insurance renewal for each Vehicles, and handle insurance cases in case of any accident or incidents.
- Make sure the Vehicles arrived is in good condition and the driver is with valid driving license to provide the required transport service and make sure drivers provide the services as per the requirement.
- Ensure periodic repair and maintenance service made for each Vehicles and ensure Vehicles are parked in safe place.
- Support in arranging rental trucks for transportation of different materials and make sure the driver take over all supportive documents like delivery Order, credit, or cash sales invoice along with the goods loaded.

Position 6: Driver
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate DPO vehicle in a safe and courteous manner and strictly obeys traffic laws at all times;
- Transport staff, volunteers, and official visitors to authorized destinations, ensuring that all passengers wear seatbelts;
- Observe good safety and security practices with passengers;
- Make airport pick-ups and delivery of passengers as assigned;
- Maintain accurate mileage logs for each trip taken;
- Do safety checks and maintain vehicles in safe and clean operating condition, including washing of vehicles;
- Check the fuel, oil, transmission fluid and coolant levels, and tires air pressure of the vehicle before start driving;
- Report all vehicle safety problems and accidents promptly;
- Carry out routine maintenance of vehicles;
- Maintain log sheet and provide report regularly on the performance of assigned vehicles;
- Give technical assistance and coordinate the procurement of genuine vehicle parts for maintenance and repairs;
