About the Position
DEDE Bottling Factory PLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Silica Sand Quarry Controller to oversee daily quarry operations and ensure a continuous supply of high-quality silica sand for glass manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise extraction, crushing, washing, and stockpiling activities.
• Ensure production and quality targets are achieved.
• Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance.
• Lead quarry personnel and enforce safety.
• Maintain production and quality records.
• Coordinate sand delivery to the plant.
• Promote process improvement and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mining, Geological, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 0 and Above year and above of relevant quarry or heavy industry experience.
• Strong leadership, safety, planning, reporting, and communication skills.

Working Conditions

Outdoor quarry environment with exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and varying weather conditions.

About the Position

DEDE Bottling Factory PLC is seeking a qualified, proactive, and results-oriented Sand Plant and Cullet Plant Supervisor to supervise sand processing and cullet plant operations, ensuring continuous supply of quality raw materials, operational efficiency, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily sand plant and cullet plant operations.
• Ensure proper sorting, processing, and quality control of cullet materials.
• Monitor sand processing activities, including grading, moisture, and chemical quality.
• Coordinate laboratory sampling and analysis.
• Supervise operators and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Monitor raw material stock levels and prepare reports.
• Ensure proper waste handling.
• Maintain daily operational logs.
• Identify operational problems and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, environmental, and quality standards.
• Support Batch and Furnace operations as required.
• Train and coach subordinates.

Qualification Requirements

• BSc Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mineral Processing, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 4 and above years’ experience in a relevant in glass manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory experience is an advantage.

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of this job is to transport passengers and goods using vehicles; to work also involves checking vehicle prior to driving and determining that it is in proper operating condition.

Major duties and Responsibilities

• Checks oils, water, tyres, breaks, lights, mirrors, and other external parts of the vehicle before driving.
• Washes and cleans assigned vehicle regularly.
• Replaces tyres when required.
• Transports safely staff, passengers and goods to their destinations as per the instruction of the superior.
• Delivers goods and massages to their respected address.
• Makes periodic reports on mileage and fuel consumption.
• Handles and drives the assigned vehicle properly with respect to the regulations of the transport authority.
• Handles and keeps tools and reserve tyre of the vehicle safely.
• Performs minor liaison activities.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned by his supervisor

Required Knowledge and skills (Competence)

Education

• 10th grade complete and 3rd grade driving license

Experience

• 4 years of relevant work experience.

Skills

• Knowledge of the regulations of the transport authority
• Skill in operation of assigned vehicle
• Ability to build relationships quickly with a wide range of people, both internally and externally’
