Position: EV Charging Station Technician
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; OR Diploma/Level IV in a related technical field with a minimum of 4 years of experience. Knowledge of EV charging systems and electrical equipment.
- Ability to monitor charger performance and diagnose basic technical issues.
- Understanding of electrical safety procedures and standards.
- Knowledge of EV charging software and reporting systems.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Traffic and parking management capability.
- Record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to operational emergencies and equipment faults.
- Basic digital system proficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor EV charging stations to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Oversee the health and operational status of charging equipment and related infrastructure.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks on chargers.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report charger faults and coordinate corrective maintenance activities.
- Manage daily charging operations, including charger allocation and customer support.
- Monitor charger utilization and prepare operational reports.
- Direct and manage vehicle traffic flow within the charging station to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of charging sessions, equipment performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with utility providers and management to ensure smooth station operation.
- Assist customers with charging procedures and address service-related inquiries.
- Ensure cleanliness, security, and proper functioning of the charging station facilities.
- Verify and ensure that charging service payments are successfully completed through the approved payment methods, confirm transaction completion with customers, and provide payment-related assistance when required.
