We are looking for an experienced, driven and creative person to join our friendly, integrated team where you’ll get the chance to build your skills, working right across the mission – from development to diplomatic.

Position 1: Security Guard

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Good English and Amharic (both written and Oral).
  • At least high school graduate.
  • Experience in the security with police or military and related field with a proven track record of delivering a quality service.
  • Be open to change and actively seek ways to improve the service of the security section.
  • Attention to details and good follow up discipline.
  • Ability to work quickly and reliably with little supervision to meet targets with clear and effective decision making skills.
  • Be an excellent team player and to contribute and support wider Embassy objectives.
  • Recommendation from previous employer of security.

Salary: USD 371.74 (Base salary is subject to tax and other statutory deductions)

Position 2: Finance Analyst

Essential qualifications, skills and experience  

  • Experience of working collaboratively with programme and business managers, as well as finance colleagues, to deliver an accurate and compliant financial position, supported by robust forecasts and clear resource‑accounting insight.
  • Confidence and enthusiasm in explaining complex financial information to a wide audience, including non‑finance colleagues, with the ability to tailor analysis to meet end‑user needs.
  • Ability to review existing financial systems, tools and reporting processes, identifying gaps or inefficiencies and recommending improvements that enhance the quality and usability of financial information.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines, respond to ad‑hoc requests, and maintain accuracy while working to the finance annual timetable and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Willingness and confidence to challenge assumptions, propose system or process changes, and support improvements that strengthen financial control, efficiency and decision‑making.
  • Demonstrable analytical capability with a high level of attention to detail, supported by advanced Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, lookups, complex formulas and multi‑sheet analysis) to produce accurate and insightful financial analysis.
  • Previous experience in a finance role with similar responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting or resource accounting.

Salary: USD 1,504.61 (Base salary is subject to tax and other statutory deductions)
