The Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) is a leading biomedical research institute in Ethiopia dedicated to advancing the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and control of tuberculosis (TB), leprosy, neglected tropical diseases, and other diseases of public health importance through basic, translational, clinical, and implementation research. AHRI is implementing a collaborative research project investigating C-type lectin receptor (CLR)-mediated immune responses to mycobacterial diseases. The project aims to improve understanding of host-pathogen interactions, identify immune correlates associated with disease progression and treatment response, and generate evidence to support the development of improved diagnostic tools and host-directed therapies for TB and leprosy. The project comprises two closely linked study components: a TB study conducted in Bahir Dar and a leprosy study conducted at the ALERT Study Site in Addis Ababa. To support the successful implementation and coordination of the project across both study sites, AHRI is seeking to recruit a motivated and organized Junior Researcher.
