Position: Motorist
Qualification: 10th/12th Grade completion and Old Grade 1 or Motor license.
Experience: Two/2 years of relevant experience.
Purpose of the Job: To provide rapid, secure, and weatherproof delivery of urgent documents, cheques, and small parcels between the Bank, its branches, and external stakeholders (Central Bank, Tax Authorities, etc.).
Generic Functions:
- Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct; embody the bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public
- Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices
- Provide services as per the service level agreement
- Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set
- Adhere to internal control system and risk management program of the Bank.
- Provide the concerned organ with timely, relevant, accurate, and complete reports on the plan performance
- Implement timely corrective action on deficiencies and issues that have been raised or reported by different internal and external regulatory bodies.
Specific Functions:
- Properly and timely deliver urgent documents, packages, and transfer letters to Bank branches, corporate clients, government offices, and other stakeholders using the appropriate dispatch protocols.
- Facilitate the rapid movement of high-priority documents to designated signatories, ensuring they are signed and returned to the originating department without delay.
- Ensure the motorbike is maintained in a pristine and clean condition, reflecting the Bank’s professional image during all external interactions.
- Report any malfunctions with the tracking device, mechanical breakages, or road accidents immediately to the Manager to ensure staff safety and asset protection.
- Conduct daily checks to ensure the motorbike is maintained in good working order, focusing on tires, brakes, and engine performance to prevent roadside breakdowns.
- Keep mileage logs and repair records up-to-date, ensuring a clear history of fuel usage and maintenance costs is available for audit.
- Handle all paperwork related to deliveries, ensuring that every document handed over is acknowledged with a clear signature on the return copy or dispatch book
