We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Junior BIM/ CAD Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves production of structural construction documentation from concept to detail execution phase using different tools including BIM, CAD, spreadsheet, document processing and other relevant tools. Moreover, the tasks may include construction design, inspection, and management.

Position Type:
The position shall involve successive stages from entry to full-time transition based on merit, as follows:
- BIM Trainee: 1 month of stipend paid training on location.
- On-the-job trainee: 2 months of increased stipend paid on-the-job training.
- Internship: 4 months internship with market competitive payment.
Progression from one stage to the next shall be based on pertinent assessment.
Job Summary: As a Junior BIM/CAD Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Efficient production of construction documentations in appropriate format (drawings, take-off/ Bill of quantity, cost estimate, specifications and etc.) with due consideration of quality and client requirements.
Working on different materials (concrete, steel, timber, masonry) and construction practice (local, European and US).
Eventual involvement in construction inspections, supervision and management.
Duties + Responsibilities:
Working closely with project leaders for accomplishment of project objectives which would include:
- Implementation of BIM & CAD in close collaboration with responsible company and/or project manager
- Construction detailing and drawings of structural works with due consideration of relevant concepts, codes and geographically customized practice. Other considerations would include construction sequence, relevant construction methods, and construction products.
- Supporting structural design team through BIM and CAD development and construction detailing
- Calculating structural bill of quantities, possibly using appropriate software and tools, and preparing specifications
- May include construction inspection, taking measurements on-site as deemed required and intermittent and/or resident supervision
Qualifications + Profile:
- A minimum of BSc. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and Technology with CGPA 3.00 and above. Graduates of 2017 E.C or 2025/2026 G.C from renowned Ethiopian higher learning institutions are encouraged to apply.
- Well versed in the use of MS Office, MS Windows, the internet (for browsing and e-mails).
- Excellent visualization skills.
- Willing to learn and work with BIM and CAD software on structural details (formwork, reinforcement, pre-tensioning, structural steel…) with holistic and multidisciplinary projecting.
- Interest in sound construction and structural detailing practices
- Ability to think critically and to provide excellent quality drawings that are constructible, cost-effective, correct, concise and complete.
Other Requirement: Laptop to be used during training.
Desired Skills (Not Mandatory):
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proven experience in Autodesk Revit at school or on private projects, even at undergraduate level.
- Ability to use Autodesk AutoCAD
