1️⃣ Household Energy & WASH Facilitator – Kotoba, Oromia

Career Level: Junior (1-3 years) | Vacancies: 1

Role Overview:
Support adoption of fuel-efficient cookstoves and improved water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices among rural households and women’s groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training and coaching on clean cooking, safe water, hygiene, sanitation, and food nutrition.
  • Support installation and operation of water schemes and fuel-efficient stoves.
  • Organize community-led demonstrations and participatory learning events.
  • Monitor and document adoption of improved practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Lead coordination, planning, monitoring, and learning across all AKAM projects including women empowerment, gender equality, livelihoods, agroecology, household energy, WASH, and community development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute project activities within budgets and timelines.
  • Organize training sessions, stakeholder workshops, and learning events.
  • Manage project staff, monitor spending, and ensure quality outputs.
  • Collaborate with government structures, community organizations, and partners.
  • Document lessons learned and prepare reports and funding proposals.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s in Agriculture, Management, Economics, or related fields.
  • 5+ years experience in project management and M&E, preferably in NGOs.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data management.
