Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer
The Technical Sales Engineer plays a key role in the company’s Sales and Marketing operations by blending technical knowledge with commercial skills. This position focuses on delivering technical support, preparing proposals, strengthening customer relationships, and generating new business opportunities to increase market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote Jehoiachin Techno PLC’s industrial and electromechanical products within the assigned territory.
- Provide technical services and guidance to customers to support product performance and satisfaction.
- Prepare professional technical and commercial proposals based on customer requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams to address product performance or quality-related issues.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support ongoing sales activities.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive growth through effective sales strategies.
- Support brand visibility and overall market expansion.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in technical sales, preferably within mechanical, industrial, or engineering products/services.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial components, and electromechanical equipment.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication, including proposal, report, and quotation preparation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).
- Willingness to travel within Ethiopia and internationally when required.
Preferred or Added Advantage Skills
- Experience in industrial product sales such as mechanical spare parts, power transmission products, bearings, seals, and related items.
- Knowledge or experience in machine reliability or condition monitoring.
- Familiarity with Ethiopia’s industrial markets and competitive landscape.
- Experience managing distributors or sales channels.
