The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) is dedicated to promoting inclusion, gender equality, and diversity within its workforce. This internship presents a distinctive opportunity to assist in advancing ECA’s agenda for diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially concerning the enhancement of outreach strategies and the support of inclusive recruitment practices.

Position 1: Diversity and Outreach Intern

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).

Position 2: Intern-Meeting Services Assistants

Qualifications:

  • Applicants to the programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements: (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a first degree or graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) is required (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent). An academic background in adult education, human resources management, or management studies is desirable.

Location: Addis Ababa

Position 3: Communications Intern

  • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). In addition, education background in communication, graphic designing and content creation is desirable.

Location: Addis Ababa
