Asakami Medical Office Practice is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented General Practitioner (MD) to join its team.

Position: General Practitioner (Medical Doctor – MD)

Educational Qualification

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized university.
• Must possess a valid and active professional practicing license issued by the Ethiopian Ministry of Health (MoH).

Experience

• Fresh graduate to one year of post-internship professional experience.

Additional Competencies

• An interest in or basic understanding of medical insurance operations, claims management, medical coding, or healthcare administration will be an advantage.
• Strong clinical assessment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Fluency in both Amharic and English.

The successful candidate will play a dual role, combining clinical responsibilities with medical insurance administration. The position involves providing quality primary healthcare services while supporting medical insurance operations, including claims review, pre-authorization, medical documentation, and coordination with insurance providers, and healthcare institutions.
