Position 1: Anesthetist

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Anesthetist at Teklehaimanot General Hospital, located in Addis Ababa. The Anesthetist will be responsible for assessing patients’ health conditions, administering anesthetics, monitoring patients during surgery, and ensuring their safety. Additionally, the Anesthetist will be involved in post-operative care, pain management, and collaborating with the surgical team to provide high-standard medical care.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in administering general and local anesthetics
  • Strong skills in patient assessment and pre-operative preparation
  • Ability to monitor patients’ vital signs during surgery and provide post-operative care
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Doctorate degree in Anesthesiology or equivalent qualification
  • Current certification and licensure in Anesthesiology
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary hospital setting is beneficial

This Contract, senior-level role is designed for a professional with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, ready to take on greater responsibility in patient care coordination, team leadership, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans and Advanced knowledge of nutrition science and clinical guidelines

· Provide nutrition counseling and education to clients/patients

· Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as needed

· Collaborate with healthcare teams for integrated patient care

· Maintain accurate client records and documentation

· Support program administration and quality assurance activities

· Assist in developing nutrition education materials

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field Master’s preferred from Recognized institution By BSc Human Nutrition, License is mandatory Junior Nutrition Professional.

Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) certification preferred 3–5+ years of direct nutrition experience in both:

Governmental organizations or Private organizations

· Strong communication and counseling skills

· Proficient in record-keeping and basic computer skills
