Save the Children Ethiopia works in 9 regions in Ethiopia with a current staff complement of approximately 2,500 staff. Position 1: Senior Finance Coordinator
- BA Degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline from a recognised University.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
- A minimum of 8 years work experience; out of which, 5 years’ experience directly related to financial management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale operational and procedural changes from proposal development to program operations.
- Experience of statutory accounting management.
- Experience in building capacity of staff in INGO setting.
- Evidence of working across a range of field offices with different range of portfolio and capacity to achieve significant changes.
- Experience of strategic financial planning and development.
- Excellent leadership & influencing skills with professional finance credibility.
- Self-starter” capable of generating & delivering innovative solutions.
- Generate and critically analyze business cases and other financial plans in relation to SCI objectives.
- Good proficiency with MS Office & range of software packages relating to financial management.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.
- Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written, preferred.
Desirable
- 5 years within the NGO / charities sector
- Experience of working in an emergency context.
- Understanding of major donor compliance regulations (USAID, Dfid, ECHO, OFDA, etc)

Position 2: Sr HR, Admin and Safeguarding Officer
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
- HR , safeguarding and Basic computer skill training complementation certifications are desirable.
Professional Experience:
- Proven experience in safeguarding, case management, and delivering safeguarding trainings.
- Demonstrated experience in managing recruitment, staff development, and performance management processes.
- Strong experience working with field-based teams, multi-site operations, and remote/hard-to-reach environments.
- Familiarity with organizational policies, HR compliance standards, and labor laws.
- Experience in supporting integrated project activities across programmatic sectors.
- Proven track record of building, leading, and developing multidisciplinary senior staff teams.
- Experience coordinating with surge teams, showing flexibility in adapting work practices and managing extended work hours.
Technical Skills:
- Strong accounting and analytical skills to support operational HR-finance linkages.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding standards, reporting mechanisms, and protection principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and certified computer skills; advanced use of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and digital filing systems.
Language and Mobility:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); local language skills are an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel frequently to field offices and remote locations.

Position 3: Sr Advocacy, Partnership and Organizational Development Specialist
- Master’s degree in economics, Agricultural Economics, Social Sciences, Development Management, HR Management, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in organizational development or change management
- At least 3 years in leadership roles in agriculture or nutrition-related projects
- Experience working with government institutions
- Strong training, mentoring, and capacity-building experience
Desired
- Experience in developing programs, guidelines, and manuals
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills
- Willingness to travel to remote locations
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to present complex information clearly
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Commitment to Save the Children’s values and child protection principles
