Position Overview
This is a 100% work-from-home opportunity designed for recent Civil Engineering graduates seeking hands-on exposure to U.S. construction estimating practices, quantity takeoffs, and project bidding.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering ONLY
- Graduation Year: Must be a 2018 Ethiopian Calendar (E.C.) graduate
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction drawings, specifications, materials, and methods
- Skills: Strong numerical aptitude, sharp attention to detail, and proficiency with computers
- Communication: Solid written and spoken English communication skills
- Workstation Requirements:
- Personal, reliable computer suitable for daily work
- High-speed, stable internet connection
- Quiet, dedicated home workspace
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
- Assist in performing quantity takeoffs and material counts
- Identify and organize material and equipment requirements
- Request, compile, and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Draft basic cost estimates and client proposals
- Assist senior estimators with complete bid preparation packages
- Maintain structured estimating files, databases, and project records
Location: Remote – Ethiopia
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Ethiopia Local Time)
