Job Summary
The Batching Plant Electrician is responsible for the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all electrical, electronic, automation, and control systems within the concrete batching plant and its integrated units (including crusher, block, or asphalt units if applicable). This role focuses on maximizing plant uptime through rigorous preventive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting of complex control circuits, calibration of critical weighing systems, and ensuring strict compliance with industrial safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

- System Diagnostics: Inspect, test, and maintain electrical wiring, control panels, boards,
tran formators, and motor control centers (MCCs).
- Motor & Drive Management: Troubleshoot, repair, and program Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Soft Starters, and Star-Delta starter circuits for high-capacity mixer motors and cement screw conveyors.
- Sensor & Instrument Care: Routinely inspect and maintain proximity switches, limit switches, photoelectric sensors, and solenoid valves managing material gates.
- Automation & Calibration (PLC & SCADA)

Job Summary
- The Batching Plant Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical integrity, installation, service, and repair of all heavy machinery and moving equipment within the concrete batching plant facility. This role ensures minimal downtime by executing routine preventive maintenance, inspecting wear-and-tear components, troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and performing crucial welding or fabrication tasks to preserve production capacity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Machinery Maintenance & Overhauls
- Mixer Servicing: Inspect, adjust, and replace high-wear components inside the central mixer (such as twin-shaft or planetary mixers), including mixing blades, arms, scrapers, and polyurethane/cast iron wall liner plates.
- Conveyor Systems: Maintain belt conveyors, deep-bucket elevators, and screw conveyors. Splice belts, track alignments, and replace worn rollers, idlers, pulleys, and heavy-duty bearings.
- Drive Systems: Monitor, align, and service heavy-duty gearboxes, couplings, drive chains, and sprockets. Ensure proper oil and lubrication levels across all mechanical power transmission units.
2. Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems
- Actuators & Gates: Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic cylinders and mechanical aggregate gates that control material discharge loops.
- Compressor Units: Perform routine service on industrial air compressors, including checking filters, monitoring oil pressure, and fixing airline leaks or faulty moisture traps.
- Hydraulic Systems: Maintain hydraulic power packs, directional control valves, high-pressure hoses, and rams utilized in tilting mixers or heavy discharge chutes.
3. Structural Repair & Fabrication
- Welding & Cutting: Execute high-quality arc (SMAW) or MIG welding repairs on worn aggregate bins, chutes, hoppers, and cement silos.
- Hard facing: Apply wear-resistant hard facing material via welding to surfaces highly prone to continuous friction from sand, gravel, and stone abrasive forces.
- Part Refurbishment: Fabricate minor brackets, guards, and structural enhancements as needed to improve machine safety and operational workflow.
4. Safety & Plant Integrity
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO): Strictly adhere to LOTO safety protocols before entering any mixer drum, conveyor zone, or enclosed silo workspace.
- Housekeeping: Keep work areas clean, clear grease/oil spills quickly to prevent hazards, and maintain the mechanical workshop tools in optimal condition.
Education & Certification

Job Purpose
- To lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain function of the concrete manufacturing plant, ensuring uninterrupted availability of raw materials (cement, aggregates, sand, admixtures, SCM Fuel and water), efficient inventory management, cost-effective procurement, and timely dispatch/distribution of ready-mix concrete (RMC) products to customers, while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Vendor Management
Plan and execute procurement of raw materials (cement, sand, aggregates, fly ash, admixtures, fuel) in line with production schedules
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors/suppliers; negotiate rates, contracts, and payment terms
Ensure long-term supply agreements to hedge against price volatility and material shortages
Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery timelines, pricing) and conduct periodic vendor audits
- Inventory & Materials Management
Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or overstocking, minimizing carrying costs
Implement inventory control systems (FIFO, ABC analysis) for raw materials and consumables
Coordinate with quality control for incoming material inspection and compliance with IS/ASTM standards
Manage stockyard operations, silo management, and material handling equipment
- Logistics & Transportation
Plan and manage inbound logistics (raw material transportation) and outbound logistics (RMC truck/transit mixer dispatch, precast delivery)
Optimize fleet utilization, route planning, and transporter contracts to reduce logistics costs

The role ensures accurate stock records, maintains inventory control, and supports the smooth and uninterrupted operation of production and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, quality, and specifications against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Properly label and store items in designated storage locations.
- Issue materials and spare parts to relevant departments upon authorized request.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records using manual logs or store management systems.
- Monitor stock levels and alert the Head of Store for replenishment needs.
- Ensure all goods are stored in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
- Assist in regular physical stock counts and reconciliation with system records.
