Population Council Ethiopia is conducting a mixed-methods study to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, safety, continuation, and user experience of the Hormonal IUD (HIUD) within public health facilities in Ethiopia.
The Population Council is in search of a qualified individual to fill the position of Junior Accountant at its office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Junior Accountant will be involved in the financial operations of the office. The individual will report directly to the Manager of Finance, Administration, and IT. Additionally, she/he will work in collaboration with the finance office at the Population Council Headquarters in New York, as well as with the Population Council’s office in Ethiopia.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration or Management and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Professional experience working in the NGO sector or public health related international organization.
- Experience working with international organizations, including communications with overseas HQ.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively with national and international colleagues.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
- Knowledge of accounting software, MS Office applications and web-based communications.
- Proficiency in written and oral English is required.
- Willingness to travel within the country, as required.
