Job Summary

The Junior Auditor will assist in conducting internal audits of financial records, operational processes, and compliance controls across OMEDAD PLC’s various business units (Hotel, Factory, Trading, and Distribution). This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain broad exposure to audit practice within a multi-sector organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments across departments and branches
• Review financial documents, transaction records, and supporting evidence for accuracy and compliance
• Conduct physical verification of inventory, fixed assets, and cash where required
• Identify control weaknesses, discrepancies, or irregularities and document findings
• Prepare working papers and draft sections of audit reports under supervision
• Follow up on implementation of previous audit recommendations
• Support special investigations or ad hoc reviews as assigned by the Senior Auditor / Head of Internal Audit

Qualifications & Requirements

• BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Management, or a related field
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or practical attachment experience is an advantage)
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal control concepts
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word; familiarity with accounting software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics
• Willingness to travel to branch locations as needed
