Position 1:  Program Manager

Educational background:

  • Master or MSC/ BA degree in Social Studies, Development, Business Administration, Management, Economics, Programme Management or other related fields and at least 5 years of experience for MA/MSC or BSC degree with 7 years’ experience.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in supervisory/staff management roles and programme management, preferable in INGOs;
  • Experience of developing collaborative partnerships with other organizations;
  • good understanding of budget development and management;
  • strong communication, negotiation & representational skills;
  • Experience in working with and through local partners;
  • Proficient in computer applications (word, spreadsheet, power points, Office 365 etc.).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Sociology, Psychology, Law, Human Rights, Development Studies, or another relevant social science field.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in protection, inclusion, community development, or humanitarian programming.
  • Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian organizations is an advantage.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including persons with disabilities and displaced communities, is desirable.

Languages

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.

Position 3: Rehabilitation Officer: Rehabilitation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Sciences, Community-Based Rehabilitation, Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, Disability Studies, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in rehabilitation practice is an advantage.

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in rehabilitation, disability inclusion, or community-based rehabilitation.
  • Experience working with NGOs, humanitarian organizations, or development projects.
  • Experience supporting persons with disabilities and older persons.
  • Experience in case management and referral systems is desirable.

Person Specification

 

Essential

 

  • University degree in accounting with at least 5 years of experience for BA in accounting; Experience in cash handling and stock management
  • Extensive experience in administrative activities in a busy office environment, report writing, and compiling monthly information.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and oral English and Amharic
  • Ability to manage filing systems quickly and systematically, and willing to travel and live in remote locations.
  • Use of Excel, word processing, and email is a requirement.
  • Experience in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Ethiopia is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Financial and administrative management.
  • Strong knowledge of spreadsheets and their use is a requirement.
