We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic intern in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) and communication to become part of our team. This internship offers a distinctive opportunity to gain hands-on experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, visibility, and communication initiatives that aim to promote our mission and amplify our impact on communities worldwide.
Position: Intern in MEL and Communication
Education: A recent graduate with a degree in digital design, computer science, statistics, communications, or related fields with certification in digital and graphic designing, database management, foreign languages, and photo and video editing.
Skills:
- Excellent English language proficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, basic graphic design skills and familiarity with content management systems are essential.
- Excellent skills in digital design software.
- Knowledge of design and video editing.
- Ability to perform data analysis using quantitative and qualitative data analysis software.
- Basic knowledge of mobile data collection tools.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding of global issues and the ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings.
- Detail-Oriented: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Benefits:
A daily rate of ETB 1000, Subject to applicable taxes.
The intern will gain practical experience in MEL, communication, and visibility strategies within HI.
Duration of Contract: 3 – 6 months
Reports to: MEAL Manager
Location: Addis Ababa
