The GIZ African Union Office, located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with additional personnel in South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania, and Germany, offers services and support in various domains including procurement, financial management, event planning and travel, human resources, internal operations, communication, and portfolio management for all GIZ programs and projects executed in collaboration with the African Union.
Position 1: Intern
Qualifications
- Graduates who finished their studies within the last six months with a degree in International Relations, Political Science, Communications, African Studies, or a related field
- Knowledge or strong interest in AU policies or international development is an advantage
- Candidates must be allowed to reside and work in Ethiopia; GIZ cannot facilitate the necessary permits
Duty station: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Intern
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social sciences, communication, M&E, political science, gender studies, digitalisation, public administration, or a related field.
- Only recent graduates are eligible.
Professional Experience
- No prior work experience required; previous internships in M&E, communication, digital knowledge management, or gender-related work are an asset.
Duty station: Addis Ababa
Position 3: Intern
Qualifications and experiences
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in gender studies, social sciences, international relations, development studies, communication, political science, or a related field.
- Only recent graduates are eligible.
Professional experience
- No professional experience required; previous internships in development cooperation, gender, or community engagement are an asset.
Duty station: Jigjiga
