EthSwitch is the National Switch owned by all banks (private and public) operating in Ethiopia, the National Bank of Ethiopia, MFIs, PIIs, and PSOs.
EthSwitch is mandated to Create Interoperability between financial institutions, Implement Domestic Payment Scheme, provide National Payment Gateway, serve as Central Inter connectivity for clearing & settlement and provide Shared Platform /Infrastructure services.
Position 1: Digital Payment Officer I
(For definite period of one year)
Qualification:
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields of studies
- Experience is an advantage
The Digital Payment Officer I is responsible for assisting in the daily operations and maintenance of digital payment systems. This role involves participating in and supporting the onboarding of new institutions for digital payment products, monitoring transactions and interfaces, and participating in testing when changes are made to digital payment applications.

Position 2: Card Payment Switch Officer I
(For definite period of one year)
Qualification:
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields of studies

The Card Payment Switch Officer I is responsible for assisting in the daily operations and maintenance of the payment switch. This role involves participating in the onboarding of new institutions for card payment switch products, supporting testing when changes are made to card payment applications, and providing assistance to clients for project implementation, support, and escalated issues.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 3: Digital Payment Officer II
(For definite period of one year)
Qualification:
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields of studies.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
The Digital Payment Officer II is responsible for setting up, testing, and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on digital payment integrations. This role involves assisting banks with technical issues, creating detailed reports for both internal and external use, and monitoring transactions and interfaces to ensure smooth operation. The officer participates in testing when changes are made to digital payment applications.
