Ethiopost serves as the primary postal service provider in Ethiopia, boasting more than 600 branches nationwide.
Ethiopost aims to become a global leader in postal services and a preferred partner in logistics, financial, and government services.
As a state-owned enterprise (SOE), Ethiopost is responsible for the development and enhancement of postal services within the country.
It functions as the designated postal operator (DPO), delivering postal services across Ethiopia to meet the government’s universal service obligation (USO).

 

Position: Senior Legal Officer

Qualification:

  • LLB Degree with 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer legal guidance and support to management, executives, and other departments within the organization on various legal matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, labor laws, intellectual property, and business operations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with external parties, ensuring that they comply with relevant laws and regulations and protect the organization’s interests.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization and ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
  • Identify legal risks and provide strategies to mitigate potential legal liabilities.
  • Assist in developing and updating internal policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Protect the organization’s intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
  • Advise on matters related to corporate governance, shareholder rights, and board meetings.
  • Guide on employment-related issues, including labor laws, employee contracts, and workplace policies.
  • Conduct legal research and due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, or other business transactions.
  • Also performs related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
