Digaf Microcredit Job
Digaf Micro Credit Provider invites qualified applicants for the following job position. Digaf Microcredit Providers, a tech-based microfinance institute, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ethiopian Ministry of Labor and Skills (MoLS).
The partnership will allow the two signatories to facilitate access to affordable digital loan products for low- and medium-income individuals. institute aims to provide financial relief to middle to lower-income individuals through the application of technology in the financial sector.
Position 1: Junior Internal Auditor
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing risk-based internal audits as per NBE Directive No. MFI/32/2023 on Internal Audit Functions.
- Evaluate compliance with NBE’s Prudential Regulations, AML/CFT Proclamations, and Corporate Governance Guidelines.
- Conduct audit tests on financial transactions, loan approvals, and treasury operations to ensure adherence to policies.
- Identify fraud risks, internal control weaknesses, and non-compliance issues, reporting them with recommendations.
- Assist in preparing quarterly audit reports for submission to NBE and the Board Audit Committee.
- Support in investigating fraud and irregularities as per NBE’s Fraud Prevention & Control Guidelines.
- Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions from previous audit findings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 1-2 years in auditing (preferably in MFIs or banks).
- NBE-Specific Knowledge:

- Understanding of NBE Microfinance Directives, IFRS, and AML/CFT laws.
- Familiarity with risk-based audit methodologies.
- Skills:

- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in audit software (e.g., Team Mate, ACL).
- Report writing and communication skills in English & Amharic.
