The communication intern will support the project’s communication, documentation, and networking activities by creating social media content and print materials that highlight key messages, achievements, and lessons learned related to adolescent sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, and gender-based violence. She will assist in producing learning products, developing radio/TV communication plans, and ensuring alignment with CARE and GAC branding guidelines.

Position 1: Intern – Gender and Economic Strengthening

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or MA in gender studies, sociology, Gender and development, Psychology, social studies, and related fields
  • Female fresh graduate
  • Zero years of work experience

Desired Technical Skills

  • Good written and verbal Sidaamu Afoo and English language skills
  • Good computer proficiency (i.e., Ms. Word, Excel,)
  • Firm belief in gender equality and sensitivity to vulnerable groups
  • Team player, flexible, and able to work in the multi-cultural working setting
  • Quick learning ability, communication, and strong interpersonal skills.

Location: Hawassa – Bilate Zuria

Position 2: Intern – Livelihood and Food Security

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and or MA/MSC in agriculture, Rural development & Agricultural extension, Agricultural economics or agri-business, and related fields
  • Female fresh graduate
  • Zero years of work experience

Desired Technical Skills

  • Good written and verbal Sidaamu Afoo and English language skills
  • Good computer proficiency (i.e., Ms. Word, Excel,)
  • Firm belief in gender equality and sensitivity to vulnerable groups
  • Team player, flexible, and able to work in the multi-cultural working setting
  • Quick learning ability, communication, and strong interpersonal skills.

Location: Hawassa – Bilate Zuria

Position 3: Intern – WASH and Natural Resource/Watershed Management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or MSC in water engineering, Natural Resource Management, Hydrology, Environmental Science and related fields
  • Female fresh graduate
  • Zero years of work experience

Desired Technical Skills

  • Good written and verbal Sidaamu Afoo and English language skills
  • Good computer proficiency (i.e., Ms. Word, Excel,)
  • Firm belief in gender equality and sensitivity to vulnerable groups
  • Team player, flexible, and able to work in the multi-cultural working setting
  • Quick learning ability, communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
